Job description:
As a Web Designer the candidate is expected to design, create, develop and maintain websites in line with the instructions of our clients. It is also expected that the candidate can demonstrate various designs before the clients so that they can choose their expected customised design.
Entry requirements of this job:
The candidate is expected a degree or equivalent qualification however there is no minimum academic requirement. Significant relevant experience will be preferred. Candidates with foundation course or a BTEC/SQA or GCSES/S grades or equivalent qualifications or significant relevant experience will be preferred.
Tasks required by this job include:
- Contacting with clients in order to define the requirements for the websites.
- Demonstrating various web designs or themes to the client so that the client can decide their customised web design.
- To apply graphics, animation and functionally techniques to maximise visual effectiveness and facilitate appropriate access.
- To alter/ amend the website in line with the instruction of the client.
- To develop the website and applications time to time
- Proficiency in any of the programming languages PHP, C#.Net/VB.net/ASP.net, CSS, HTML
- Working knowledge in WordPress, Wix, Joomla, Shopify etc.
- To write and publish content for the website.
- Testing the website interaction and performance prior to going live and monitors and maintains functionality of the website.
- To activate the live website
